What would it take to design a world where every generation thrives?
Kate Barranco | A Hopeful Changemaker
My work includes:
Designing and facilitating participatory research and workshops that center healing, belonging, and leadership sustainability
Conducting trauma-informed, qualitative research to generate actionable insights for changemakers and communities
Developing strategic frameworks and collaborative processes that drive systems-level impact
Supporting cross-sector learning journeys and networks committed to positive social change and/or intergenerational dialogue/learning, and wellbeing
Translating complex ideas into human-centered strategies, tools, and storytelling
I’m committed to transforming how we care —
for communities, for systems, and for the leaders shaping them. That includes our youngest leaders. I believe sustainable change starts when people are supported to care for their full selves— especially in times of crisis.
Grounded in research on intergenerational trauma and diversity-driven leadership, I work to create inclusive, empathetic environments where both people and systems can thrive.
This is how we reimagine change. This is how we build hope.
I design for healing.
I’m a strategist, researcher, and facilitator working at the intersection of trauma-informed leadership, intergenerational well-being, and systems change. I consider myself a hopeful changemaker.
With a background in social innovation, trauma-informed and equity-centered design, and global policy, I help leaders and communities imagine and implement more caring, resilient futures.
